Merry Christmas :)
Etc etc.

Hmm, Josh went back on the 11th :(
Been getting acupuncture and such from a chick in Margret River, which is like a two hour drive away. And I have herbs and shit to drink which taste foul.
But I'm getting better I think.

On Tuesday the Charming Skeletons played at The Prince, which was hell good :) Loved it.

Thursday was Billy's birthday so we all drank to much and played duck duck goose and went swimming that night.
Christmas Eve I got woken up after about to hours sleep and we went swimming again, then at a dam and then went to the Spicer's and played trouble for like two hours.

This is Trouble if you didn't know.

It is the worst game you could possibly play. I'm seriously the unluckiest person I know so I didn't roll a six (which you need to start the game) for like twenty minutes.

Christmas was good, ate way too much, got myself a new screen :D and generally had a good day.

And that is life as I know it.
That is all.

Sorry

It's been a while, and I'm sorry. But things have been hectic and I've been up to lots.

Alex and Nicks 18th was great, although I only got one hour sleep and about 3 the night before after drinking a bottle of rum with Cale in Kirup. I swear I have no shame. Sam and I formed a goon circle and drank away :)

Severely sleep deprived the next day Sam and I played Donkey Kong with a barrel on a tennis court, laughed at people mishearing things ("you're hallucinating" "I'm not loose!"), climbed trees and explored Balingup.

On Thursday Josh came for my 18th and is still here now :D. My kidney thingo started to come back so I've been on antibiotics again. And on the 18th so I wasn't drinking. People were like "OH MY GOD. you must be devastated" but I didn't really mind that much. Mine and Laura's 18th was good. Nothing amazingly memorable but oh well.

And then, last Friday Josh and I set off on an adventure. We went to a maze place, then Bussleton, Dunsbrough, Meelup, Yalingup and then back to Bussleton to watch Harry Potter. It was alright, but I wasn't in a serious mood so I thought everything was funny. Then we cooked kebabs on a barbecue at the beach which took ages and slept in the car right next to the water. Next day we went to Cow town and Margret River and then made our way home. It was great.

That's been about all. Met up with Lys one week and went to the rapids yesterday.

That is all...

Yes sir indeed

Well, last weekend I had an 'Alien' marathon (1, 2, 3 and 4) and watched 'Saw' for Halloween.
The weekend before I had an okay time in Kirup. Drank too much. Single now, but you get that.
I've really been getting into playing guitar again, which has been great.
I can play a fair few Brand New songs. Yes still obsessed with Brand New.
I went to the races with a few people from Balingup. Won $7, lost about 30. Drank far to much. When people offer me a drink I find it impossible to refuse.

Emmette is going to Afghanistan, which I'm not pleased about at all. :(
He's coming down for a couple of days next week
I've been working a lot. Like up to nine hours a day, with my maid-ing and at the shop. But that's okay. Save me some money for uni.

Feelings suck!
Yeah that's about it. Life as I know it. Pretty boring but you get that.

That is all..

Howdy!

I have had the last two Saturdays off, which has been excellent.
Went exploring abandoned houses with Cale last Saturday. Talked to an old school friend all Saturday night at a party and was completely antisocial to everybody else.
I swear I'm a bit socially retarded. But people should know this by now.

My parents abandoned me last Sunday so I've actually been doing housework, chopping wood and cooking. Chopping wood is possibly the most manly thing anyone could ever do. But now I have blisters.
Last weekend I went to Lauras and played intense card games like snap and such. Went to the beach, watched Pressure's On, drank a bit too much and didn't get enough sleep. I wake up around 6 every morning at Lauras and can't go back to sleep. :|

Panda Cheese ads are the greatest ads of all time. Youtube that shit.

I got home to find our dog real sick. Poor thing. But she's getting better slowly.

That is all...

Shit it's been a while ay.

Apart from a weekend on the goon (with a terrible hangover)and just hanging out in Kirup/Donnybrook nothing has happened really.

My boss called Radiohead 'ugly music' and I felt like slapping her. Hard.
She then put on the Beegees which made my head want to explode, as I had a migrane.
But seriously. I know she's not that young anymore but could she have a worse taste in music. All I listen to at work now is "The Greatest Country Love Songs...Of All Time", and Michael Buble (he's alright but by the third time I get over it).

Also I'm maid of the town. I help out at two places and get paid cash! Hoorah!

Going into Bunbury today to get a Big Day Out ticket. It's dads birthday so I was up early cooking bacon and eggs and all that jazz.

Yeah my life is boring.

That is all.

Life

I feel like I'm going round in circles. I haven't done anything mildly interesting in the last three and a half months. I'm supposed to be out exploring in my gap year, but I'm stuck here.
Sorry my life is so boring whoever's reading this.

Oh well.

Last weekend I got Saturday off and ended up going up to Spaniards place for his 20th Friday night. First time I've ever spewed on someones floor. I felt so bad. :(
Quite hungover on Saturday, just hung out at Laura's, watched Silent Hill and spent like 2 hours laughing at funny videos on youtube. Like a dog that can say batman and kittens fighting and news reportes getting taken out by horses.

I'm not even that scared of driving anymore, which is a relief. Except for parking in the city...Fuck that.
The weekend just been was pretty boring. Donnybrook Friday night and I watched Paranormal Activity. Not as scary as people made it out to be.
Centrelink has been fucking with me. Still have to go to stupid interviews and such.
St Cat's interviews next Thursday :D

Sorry I'm not interesting.
That is all.

The week so far

Hey, did everyone know that Soundwave 2011 tickets are out?
Horay!
So I'ma get me one of them this weekend.

Which reminds me to tell you about the moat aweosme weekend of my entire life: the first weekend of March.

The Nannup Music Fest was on so all the Kirup boys were at Cales house in Nannup getting pissed and such while Cale and I were watching some amazing bands. Tinpan Orange, Mama Kin (in which John Butler with his kid and the singer from Tinpan Orange came and sat next to us), Matt Gresham, King George Brown (in which Matt Gresham sat next to us and Mama Kin behind us), and John Butler, where we were right up the front. It was amazing.
And then on Monday it was Soundwave 2010. We drove up in the morning and got there half an hour late, by which point I'd missed You Me At Six. I was mighty pissed off. We then watched A Wilhelm Scream, Baroness, Set Your Goals, Alexisonfire, Motion City Soundtrack (in which I caught the motherfucking set list), Escape The Fate, A.F.I. (which was fucking amazing), Placebo, A Day To Remember and Antiflag.
Antifalg were amazing to say the least. They got people up on stage and put the drum kit in the middle of the mosh pit for the last song.
Apart from missing You Me At Six and getting heat stroke within the first hour, it was a perfect day.
The next day I was off to Darwin and we saw Antiflag at the airport! I got a picture with the lead singer and was seriously star struck. It made up for mum throwing out the set list I caught. Still not pleased about that though.

ANYWAY
Prat's 21st was great. I walked for ages, lost my jacket, remembered I put it in the car, drank lots, listened to some awesome bands and ate a rollllll.
Also muttered alot of gibberish when Cale woke me up looking for the keys.
Work wasn't happy I was hungover. They want me to be more 'energetic.'
If you're going to hire me on the weekends be prepared for me not to be 'energetic.'
Fools. :) They're alright there.

I drove to Bunbury by myself on Tuesday. I was pretty proud, although I avoided parking and walked most places once I got into town.

That is all.

I was all sick again last week, and went to the doctors and it turns out my tonsils were stopping me getting rheumatic fever, which is quite serious. Hooray for tonsils!

The Medieval Carnivale is on this weekend in the small town of Balingup. I shall be working in a purple tunic... :|
I think they're not paying me proper, I should get paid more for weekends. Or else! 'Cause I get just above the minimum wage to begin with. Stupid money.

Centrelink is retarded. They gave me a disablility pension form instead of a form for the doctor to fill in.
And other such things that are too boring and stupid to discuss.

Pratty's 21st. I'm hell amped...
XD

Penguins are pretty cool ay.

That is all...

hmmm

Well, what have I done in the past couple of weeks?
I've been being an adult and buying petrol and driving places and working.
I think I drank too much brown Vok, cause I was feeling sick on Sunday. Not hungover but coming down with something. Every time I said it tastes like a chocolate milkshake everyone always said only crunchy, which didn't even make sense 'cause it wasn't crunchy. It was just like a chocolate milkshake, only alcoholic.
I went to the doctors again on Tuesday after being all sick on Monday and off work. I got tonsilitis, which I was not happy with and got put on more antibiotics, which I was not happy with at all.

Last weekend I only went out Friday night, Friday the 13th. Sam was having a party so after me getting free lemonade at the pub we went there. I saw Hannah and Sam, who I haven't seen since I wasn't sick, like a month and a half ago.
Got drunk off a six pack :D Hooray for antibiotics! I can get drunk cheaply when I'm on them.

Crabman off 'My Name Is Earl' is the sexiest black man alive. I've been watching 'My Name Is Earl' constanly for the last few weeks

That is all...

Hoorah!

I'm all better now.
Stupid kidney infection.

And went into Bunbury on Tuesday and got my P's (hooray!) and got an amazing smoothie and went to the dentist. I have no fillings to be done. So I celebrated by buying $5 worth of giant lollies. And some fish food.

Then I went to Pratty's and saw Clare, Teegan, Matt (I giggle everytime Clare calls Pratty Matt)and Cale. Which was nice, I haven't seen anybody in about a month.

I drove into work today all by myself. Legally. :D
I feel like an adult now.

These lollies are giant, it took me like 20 minutes to eat it.

Paper Dreams

Currently obsessed with The Kooks
<3

If you're wondering what I've been up to: Nothing. At all. I've been sleeping and went to the doctors last Thursday and my temperature was 41.5.
I didn't know you could be so hot and still be alive.
Then I went to hospital the next day and was there all weekend. Not fun. It would have been if I wasn't sick. Get fed in bed and offered tea all the time and one of the nurses was offering me lemonade and icecream and such. But no, I wasn't hungry enough to eat much of their delicious food at all.

I've lost so much weight. Like 5kg or something ridiculous. I'm going to fade away soon.

Cale was all up and worried. I got back with Cale, I don't think I said so but yeah. Maybe a month ago. He came and visited on Sunday, and didn't even get drunk on Saturday, so he wasn't hungover.

I got out on Sunday then. And I've been bumming around since then. I go back to work on Saturday.

I haven't been under the influence of alcohol for almost month now. :D Pretty pleased at that effort.

I've been aching to play Spyro (The original 3, on Playstation 1) for the last week. And Croc: Legend Of The Gobbos.
So I downloaded a PS1 emulator and then the rom didn't work and the one for Croc is epically slow.
Wasn't pleased.

I want a giant tub of malteasers.

That is all...

Rawr

So what have I been up to I guess you're wondering.

I've been asleep for most of the week and spewing up most things I eat. I've lost 5 kgs which I didn't think was possible.

The weekend before last I went to Alix's 18th and Serge's camping trip. Serge is a citizen now :)

Went up to Perth last weekend via Bridgetown which is where I probably caught the flu from. Fucking Bridgetown. Only the coldest place ever. Usually. Anyway, we went up to Perth and got a haircut and saw some friends. Then I slept on their couch for two days. Went and saw TOY STORY 3 in the city with Cale. It was pretty amazing. 3D is well over rated, just like Avatar (the only other movie I've seen in 3D).

I've got a job at the local shop 4 days a week(hooray) but half of the work's on the weekend (not so hooray). I was supposed to start on Wednesday but have currently not been in at all.

Last night I missed Megs 18th. I was so sad :(
Mum said no deal to me going out. I bet it was awesome.

That is all...

I used to know the name of every person I kissed

Now I've made this bed and I can't fall asleep in it...
Got me thinking...
But it's okay, I do remember everyone. I think. I hope.

:\

The weekend was very fun. And exhausting (wrong spelling but I know you'll make it better Ross)
Friday was Dan's birthday so everyone was at the pub and there was a band there and now I know how to play Wonderwall ('cause I'm awesome and such).
I've only just realised hardly anyone knows I'm underage there so Teegan and I drank many a milk and Malibu and Teqila Sunrises. We then moved up to Dan's and I don't know what I did all night but suddenly it was 6 and I was craving chilli chicken stips real bad. But the servo didn't open till 7. I wasn't pleased. Didn't end up sleeping at all. I went and got my chicken and Teegan picked us up to go to Bunbury.
We hung out all day in Bunbury, still pissed as a cricket 'til about 3, when the hangover kicked in.
Went to Laura and Josh's place and visited Bec's 18th quite briefly.

Did absolutly nothing Monday. Not even "oh I went for a run," (ha! I don't do that) or, "oh I cleaned my room."

Yes, if you're wondering why all my punctuation is so good. Ross edits my shit.
<3 Plus he has a cool accent.

Sri Lanka

Alright...

So on the 15th (May) we went up to Perth and I got, like, one hours' sleep that night; was up watching Sherlock Holmes and then off to the airport at 3. Can't sleep on planes which sucks balls, so I read a whole book on the 5 and a half hour flight to Kuala Lumpar.

Got into KL at 12:30 and it was 32 degrees. Finally a bit of warmth. Went to a hotel and slept and then ate and then slept some more. Another 3 am wake up and left at 6:15 to Sri Lanka.

Got there at 7:15 (2.5 hour time difference) and its all stormy and shit. They wouldn't unload our luggage for 2 hours because of lightning and shit. It was ridiculous. It had been raining since the night before and would continue to rain so hard for the next week and a half that everywhere was flooded and you needed to take a boat from the plane to the airport terminal.

After getting our luggage, we were almost trapped and there was only one road out of the place that wasn't flooded. So of course it was just one big traffic jam. Drove for like 10 hours straight down to the house where my brother's wife-to-be lived.
Met all the family. Half of them can't speak English at all.
Went shopping the next day and got a $10 pair of jeans and a $7 pair of shoes. My left foot is one size bigger than my right.
The next day (19th) made heaps of boxes for the wedding cake to go into. It took, like, 2 hours.

And the wedding on the 20th. Everything has to take place at specific times and shit. Some Buddist tradition. The ceremony had to start at 9:57 exactly. They spent so long taking photos. Like more time doing that than anything else. They also had to get changed 3 times. Lots of food and beer. Yay. Then all the guys started dancing like no one was watching. Guys that can dance are sexy.

Went and found some cosy little cabanas by the beach and stayed there for a couple of nights. They had a little midget/dwarf (kind of but not really. He was about the height of a 9 year old) guy and I wanted to take him home.
We trekked up a giant rock with, like, a gazillion steps on the 24th. And the view wasn't even that great. Then we went to a blowhole and it went up like 20 metres into the sky. Then we went to a giant (8 story) Buddah and such. We had delicious pizza for dinner.

Wesak is like the Buddist Christmas and was on on the 27th and 28th. You can't drive anywhere without being stopped and fed. We went on a car trip 4kms down the road and we got stopped 5 times. They just walk onto the road and stop you. It's nice. Everyone giving so much when some of them don't have much to give.
We went back up north on the 30th and I spent 5 hours trying to go to sleep. Stupid car. There were pretty lights still up everywhere. We went shopping and such before going up to Puttalam to visit my dad's cousin and his family. Everyone is so friendly up there. <3

Had a 3am wake up call once again on the 2nd and flew out to Kuala Lumpar. Then spent 12 hours at the airport there before the 5 and a half hour flight home. There was no place to sleep at the airport at all. The seats all had fooking armrests between them so I couldn't lay down. Befriended an Englishman who couldn't sleep on planes either. English people are far superior because of their awesome accents.
After 28 hours awake I faceplanted the couch at a friends house in Perth.

Last weekend was Tony's 18th which I don't remember much of. Josh and I raped the Jukebox. There is a burn on my shoe.

This weekend everyone went round Poppy's for her birthday. I don't remember much of that either.

Binge drinking is bad.
I don't want a blender anymore.

That is all...

Religion

Religion: Belief in, worship of, or obedience to a supernatural power or powers considered to be divine or to have control over human destiny.

To be honest, in my opinion religion = bullshit.

Why do people need this belief that some divine power is watching their every move and thought, and then judging them on it?

I was disgusted when I found Buddism, what I believed to be the most passive and harmless religion, to have its own Buddist hell.
And each specific 'sin' had its own specific torture in the afterlife. If you're disrespectful to your mother, dogs tear you apart; if you're unfaithful they saw you in half; if you cheat a salesman, you got hot pieces of metal shoved down your throat.

I fail to comprehend why people are so desperate to believe that there is something after death.
There is no heaven. There is no hell. When you die you decompose in the ground or you're burnt to a crisp.

I personally don't need religion to tell me what is morally right and wrong.

Religion .5/10

Home sweet home...

After five hours on planes, $30 in taxi rides, about two hours of sitting around waiting, a three hour bus ride and an hour and a half in a car I'm home. And gee whiz, it's cold.
Like.
I'm currently wearing a jacket and a scarf and fingerless gloves and socks inside.
It was 13 degrees when we landed in Perth at ten. 13! Air conditioners can't even pump out a temperature that cold.
And then I had to wait around at the bus station for about an hour and a half, but I got made to stand outside in my short shorts and thongs for half an hour while they did a freaking fire drill. Harley wasn't pleased. I couldn't even go back in to get some pants from my bags.

My screen looks very square and my keyboard very chunky after being away and using Mac/laptops for so long.
My bed last night. Oh God. It was heavenly.

My list of things to do today.
Clean room, sort out my computer a bit, call the packing shed for a job when I get back :|(check), do a resume, call centrelink to tell them I'm away (check), unpack (check), repack, clean out the granny flat type arrangement and such, pick up Allyssa, do my hair, party.

No time for guitar I don't think. :(

I'll tell you about my trip to Sri Lanka when I get back. I'll make sure I remember the good stuff.

That is all...

The last few days have been pretty awesome to say the least.

Sunday evening we went to the beach and had dinner there. Which was very nice. There were dolphins and a nice sunset. It was very pretty. Then back home Brea, Dean, my sister and I got rather drunk and sat around talking about not much till 4 in the morning. Brea went to bed earlier as she had to be at work at 7:30.

It was very fun. We went through another 4 bottles or Hurley Rosé (named after my poor effort of drinking on Friday night) and the rest of the gin and beers in the house. Then I was up till 5 playing facebook games.

I woke up at 10:30 still tipsy and found out that Ochre was sick. So we cancelled school for the day (and which point she livened up a great deal). We did a little bit of school which is when my hangover kicked in. Slept. Then in the afternoon Dean took me out for a spin in his little Jeep. It's so cute. Two doors (if you can call it that... It's just the door frames), no roof, a little tray, an 8 ball for the gearstick knob and the gears kept on falling out of place when we went over really bumpy bits. Almost got bogged. Went to this beautiful rock pool place with lots of hermit crabs and a freaking underwater spider!
It's the first bit of driving I've done since I've been up here (apart from the occasional drive down the road). Can't wait to get my lisence.

Today they had a big ceremony for this book that has been compiled of all the bush tucker you can eat around here. It's an amazing acheivement.

That is all...

The weekend

Someone litrally lit a fire across the road just then. When I looked out the window all I saw was a three year old walking away.
What. The. Fuck.

Anyways. It's the end of the wet season up here so everyone gets to light fires where ever they feel like it. But they know their shit. Like when we were going out to Kuy(prnounced KOY, like the giant fish) The local guy we were going with just told us to stop and hopped out, lit up the bush and jumped back in. When we came back like 4 hours later it had burnt a fair bit of grass but hadn't got out of hand at all.

So anyway, trip out to Kuy. It was so beautiful out there, bright blue water, white beach. Four buildings there, including the little school where my sisters friend, Brea, works at. Then we went and got digeridoos and wood for womera and fire sticks. We were starving by the time we got back.

Happy mother's day. My mother is awesome, not even joking. She was a wild child when she was traveling the world in a bus. :)

Bad red wine = medicine, apparently. Cleared my throat up, made everything else worse. I also clogged up the sink with my dinner.

That is all...

Thursday, May 6, 2010

The past few days.

Well, the last night of my house sitting ordeal I stayed up to 3 30 watching horror movies. I was going to stay up all night but then I wondered when I would brush my teeth or have a shower or clean up the place. Quite baffling. So I thought I'd get 3 hours sleep so I would have some way of knowing when to do these things.

Anyway, horror movies. First it was 'Mirrors', which was pretty awesome. Then 'Underworld: Rise of the Lycans'. I'm wondering if the same girl from the other movies plays the chick in this. They don't look exactly the same but they're like twins. Hmmm.
Shit nigger, I just looked it up and they are different people. Kate Beckinsale and Rhona Mitra.
Anywho, whilst watching this movie, there was a jingling from the bedroom. It scared the hell out of me but, like in any good horror movie I went and investigated. Nothing was there, so I looked behind the curtain and outside there was...nothing.
So I hopped off the bed and then I saw this GIANT rat. Like seriously 30 cms long. Just crawling around, as you do if you're a rat.
So I was like "Phew...back to the movie."
Then I watched 'Never Cry Werewolf', which was pretty good too. There was some chick running round in a bra trying to kill her neighbour with forks. When I was watching this the giant rat decided to explore the lounge room. So it was crawling on the curtains and blocking my view of the T.V. (it really was, it hopped up on two legs and had a sniff of the screen). Then it squeezed itself under the door. That house has a rat problem.
Moving on...Then there was 'Funny Games', which was amazing to say the least. Very disturbing but I would love to see it again.

My last Thursday here; wow.
Having a party when I get back, just asked mum then and was thinking 'please say yes please say yes please say yes' 'cause I've basically already organised it and such. She said probably, 'cause they have to be up at five.

I hope my external hard drive gets here before I leave so I can tax all my sisters music and movies.

That is all...

...

So last weekend as you could probably gather from the pictures, I was on a boat, catching fish and shit.
I must say, I dominate fishing.
I caught 6 fish in like half an hour. Two queen fish, a rock cod, a mangrove jack (which was rather delicious) and two fingermark snappers.
Long weekend so we had Monday off school and such.

I've been house sitting someones house. Someone with pay tv. =D
Watched Friday the 13th on Friday by myself, which was a little scarier than it should have been. Mmm Jared Padalecki.

Does angry music calm everybody down or is it just me?
I've been listening to not much else since I've been up here, due to the stress of the kids. From First To Last, From Autumn To Ashes and such. If I'm ever pissed off I'll just put them on and it chills me out.

I want a nice blender for my 18th. Someone get me a nice blender please.

That is all...

OCD

Obsessive. Compulsive. Disorder.
Is what I think I have.
I have a new found obsession with order, that has been going on for the last couple weeks.
I used to have weird quirks, like hanging out the washing in order using matching pegs, but now it's kind of got out of hand.
For example I tore all the books off Ochres (7 year old neice) bookshelf and rearranged them in order of size, which only took about three days.
On the bright side, I have amazing hygeine now.

My slight insomnia gives me lots of time to think about how I'm going to re-arrange my room when I get back.
Every pencil on little Ochres desk is always sharp. I spent like an hour sharpening them all and got an epic blister on my finger.

The rest of the week has been boring.

That is all...

Today I went to a funeral.
It was a haunting experience.
It was held in a church and the wailing of sisters and daughters of this woman echoed throughout the room. I almost cried.
We took the sister out fishing this afternoon, as she is close friends with my sister and such. Didn't catch a thing.

That is all.

Yes well...

We went camping on Saturday afternoon, and spent the whole day getting ready only to get there after dark.

The mosquitos were horrible, still have bites all over my elbows and feet.

We cooked the meat again cause it was still bleeding in the middle. And roasted marshmellows. :) yay.

Clayver told us stories of huge crocodiles and how one chased him up a tree and waited for him for hours underneath it.

On Sunday we woke up so early, like seven. :| Wasn't impressed. We went and caught bait at the beach, saw a freaking sea snake. There was heaps of little hermit crabs out and about. I want a hermit crab almost as much as I want a cow.

We than packed up all our things and went to some croc infested river to fish.

I caught a giagantor catfish and then, just as I threw the line in again, almost caught a barramundi. It was a metre away from the shore and the line snapped and it was all like *flips into air*. It was huge!

We went hunting for didgeridoos on the way back

Monday was back to school for the N.T., so of course Ochre pulled a sicky. But by one O'clock she was sick of not eating and moping around so we did some work.

Is it normal for my two year old neice to be able to spell and almost write her name as well as count up to thirty (but always misses 25) and can recite the alphabet? I don't know, I don't usually associate with children.

I'm not sure if I'm so against having a kid anymore. I want to have one just to see how awesome I can make it.

Little things really piss me off, does this happen to everyone?
I cannot stand dripping taps. Like not oh I hear a tap dripping, wow that's annoying. It's like argh I have to fix that or leave the room. And the sound the bath makes when it's draining and a bit of air gets into it and it's all like INSANLY LOUD SUCKING SLURPING NOISE. I have to sit in the bath and stop the little whirlwind of air reaching the plughole.

That's all I guess.

I has been an eventful week or so, and since I'm in the middle of nowhere, I can't really tell everyone about it, so I thought I'd start a blog.

We went into Darwin on Sunday and since the road is all up and flooded we had to fly in this tiny plane. 14 seats, including the pilots. Pretty terrifying.

We tested out furniture and all that jazz for the sister's new house. Then to celebrate we got drunk and watched poker (because we're all addicted to online poker and there was no internet there) and Spongebob Squarepants in the hotel. The T.V. was longer than me.

Went out on Tuesday night to some restraunt/bar which had a really cool contraption for absenth. But we would have had to wait like an hour for it, by which time we'd run out of money.

On the plane trip back ( the plane was a bigger one this time, 20 seats) we flew through a tropical storm. Not very fun. Saw lightning and couldn't see out the window most of the time due to all the clouds. And then, when we were landing this huge shower came in so we went back up again. And when we were landing again there was another huge shower and I thought we were going to skid off the runway and die. But we didn't. Hooray

My sleeplessness has continued, with it taking me about 2 hours to get to sleep. So many a late night, which I don't mind so much, it's just waking up to screaming children at 7 in the morning after 3 hours sleep which dampens my day.

It's currently school holidays, so I'm not teaching my neice (yay). She doesn't like Dr Suess, which is very stange. Maybe she's not really human.

I'm also single now. Not sure how I feel about that.

I have a new guilty pleasure too. Hot british guys' video blogs. Don't be too dissapointed in me, they're funny and have awesome accents and talk really fast. Don't judge me! Lyssa will know what I mean.

Well... That is all.
